This post is sponsored by our friends at AllModern // Hello again, sweet friends! I have more fall decorating ideas coming your way this week, and I hope you are enjoying the changing season as much as I am. I love hearing all your thoughts and feedback on our simplified holiday decorating series and our fall decor at the farmhouse! Thank you from the bottom of my heart!
As a little reminder, this series is all about simplifying the hustle and bustle of the holidays and creating a cozy, inviting home that is the perfect backdrop to create beautiful holiday memories with your loved ones. You can catch up on our fall kitchen and living room after reading today’s new post about this sweet and simple fall table setting!
I recently shared that we moved our big farmhouse table into the living room, which opened up the previous dining room space to become a more functional entryway. It was just a little change of furniture placement that made a huge difference in how our house functions, and I am loving the new setup! When it’s just the four of us, we almost always eat at the smaller table in our kitchen now, so the big farmhouse table in the living room has become the hub for homework sessions and entertaining guests, which works great for us.
I don’t usually go crazy overboard with table settings during the holidays. I like to go with a “less is more” approach by adding a few flowers, maybe a few candles, and some simple table linens or napkins to dress up our rustic handmade table when company is coming over. To create this simple fall look, I started by placing a long wood box in the center of the table and filled it with some soft creamy hydrangeas, a few small gourds and pumpkins that I painted white, and a couple deer antlers to play up the rustic fall vibe. I used pieces of an old pallet to build the box a few years ago, and I love the rough texture of the wood and the nail details on the ends. It makes the perfect centerpiece!
To match the green leaves in the centerpiece, I used olive green napkins as placemats for each setting, topped with a basic white dinner plate and our heirloom silverware passed down from Jeremy’s grandfather. I set a pear on top of each plate (notice a theme from our kitchen decor?), which added a pop of fall color as well as a bit of a sculptural element to the table. I just love the unique shape each pear has and the beautiful deep red skin… I always look to nature to inspire me and decorate with! The pears were an inexpensive addition to the table and make a great little snack, dessert, or gift for your guests to take home.
We added a big piece of art (well two, to be exact) to the wall next to our table, and it makes such a stunning focal point in this space. The AllModern angel wings have this gorgeous rustic wood finish, and I thought they would be perfect for our living/dining room as we head into the holidays! And last but not least, I cozied up our big, black dining chairs with soft, fuzzy AllModern faux lamb fur throw pillows. They are so soft, and I love the texture of the fur!
Simple. Seasonal. Thoughtful. Beautiful!

That color combination with those beautiful pears and the green placemats just makes my heart skip a beat! I love all of the wood tones too. So pretty Liz!
This is simply beautiful Liz and so YOU, which I love. The olive napkins as placemats– brilliant! I love how you are using olive in your fall decorating… not too much but just enough– it looks so beautiful with your whites and light woods you have around your home. Love the angel wings– so pretty!
This dining room is amazing! I love the simple setup and the pears are perfect!
