Yesterday I had a design meeting with one of my to Yesterday I had a design meeting with one of my toughest clients yet... my teenage son. 😂 Actually, he is probably the easiest person to please, and his requests for the upcoming bedroom makeover we are planning were pretty simple:

• blackout curtains so he can sleep in on weekends
• a new darker paint color
• somewhere to charge all his devices

I think I can handle that! This room is quite a challenge with the small size & layout, but I think we’ve come up with a game plan to make it more functional and much more “him”.

Once I catch up on all my current projects and design work, I’m excited to dive into making this space perfect for him! P.S. where did my little boy go that wanted Thomas the Train as the theme in his bedroom? 🥺

One of the biggest challenges in this space was finding the right size furniture to maximize the small space & functionality without sacrificing design. She wanted to keep the house light, bright and airy while still feeling warm & cozy, and this feels like the right balance with soft whites & grays paired with wood tones & natural fibers.

You can get all the details on this MASSIVE renovation & all the decor sources on the blog!

Too soon? Now that the snow is almost melted, I ca Too soon? Now that the snow is almost melted, I can’t help but daydream about what I’m going to plant this year, dinners out on the deck, and naps under the shade of the gazebo. The first glimpse of spring always reminds me how grateful I am for the little things and especially this cozy little house of mine.

🤍 TELL ME 🤍 what are you grateful for today?

That awkward moment when you have multiple layers That awkward moment when you have multiple layers of clothes on just because it feels good to have the windows open for a moment. A little bit of spring. Still an ounce of lingering winter. I’m no better than my children who assume 40 degrees means shorts and t-shirt weather.

This simple trick can make the windows in your home look larger and more luxurious, make your ceilings appear taller, AND make your rooms feel extra cozy at the same time.

This post is a GOOD one, so I hope you’ll head over to the blog and read all about this easy decorating trick! I’m also sharing the source for these new curtains I hung in the living room, plus the sentimental story behind this curtain rod... yes, I said curtain rod. 😂

The snow is melting, which makes me crave SPRING s The snow is melting, which makes me crave SPRING so much! Thinking about adding a few little touches to the living room soon, and hopefully Mother Nature will get the hint... 😏

On a scale 1-10 how ready are you for spring and warmth and flowers and sunshine? What are you looking forward to MOST about spring? For me, it’s the longer days, fresh air coming through open windows, the first signs of flowers starting to sprout, and getting to be back outside enjoying the deck again... I can’t wait!
