Welcome back to more fall decorating at the farmhouse, sweet friends! Today I am sharing one of my favorite spaces in the whole house, our cozy master bedroom, and I also have an exciting home tour to share with you! If you’re new here or just catching up, I’ve already shared a few different rooms over the last few weeks all decorated for fall, but when my dear friend, Rachel from Maison de Pax, asked me to join in her Fall Into Home Tour this year, I couldn’t pass up the opportunity. So today I’m sharing the first look at our fall bedroom, recapping the other spaces I’ve already decorated, and giving you 13 other home tours you can check out next!
Our master bedroom is located on the second level and took quite a bit of imagination to turn this dark, awkward attic space into a bright, beautiful, relaxing retreat. We added wide, rustic planks to all the walls and painted them white, which really helped to lighten up the space. Then we created a cozy nook for our farmhouse style iron bed by adding a faux wood beam to the ceiling and hanging white lace curtains up inside of the beam to frame the bed area. It is such a peaceful, inviting space to fall asleep in every night and makes it very hard to leave every morning!
As the cooler temperatures begin to creep in, I like to add some extra warmth and coziness in our house, usually in the form of soft, thick blankets and throw pillows. On our bed, I added a gray and white flannel blanket under our white quilt and a super cozy knit blanket on top for those extra chilly nights. I’ve had a simple greenery wreath hung on our bed frame for quite awhile now, but I thought a cotton wreath would be perfect for fall and winter this year.
Most of our little farmhouse is pretty neutral when it comes to color, which makes changing the decor for each season really easy. Setting out a simple vase of golden yellow flowers on our bench instantly made the room feel more vibrant and inviting.
Recognize this sofa? It was in our living room for a very brief period of time, but it was just too small for us to enjoy comfortably. I thought about selling it when we got our new couch, but because this one has such a low back (and not to mention the gorgeous tufting and rolled arms), it happened to fit perfectly along the short wall across from our bed. You’ve probably noticed that I tend to repurpose furniture from one room to another quite often around here. Not only does it save money, but it also allows me to change up our house much more often! I love to curl up right here as the late afternoon sun shines into our bedroom and read a book or (shh… don’t tell anyone) take the occasional nap.
That wraps up our fall bedroom, but here are a few other spaces I’ve shared this fall from our farmhouse!

I love your bedroom Liz! Your home is so inspiring. I love the simplicity, it’s just all perfect. Pinned a few images for later!
I don’t know how you do it Liz, but all your photos look so ethereal. I don’t want the pictures to stop! You are gifted. Your bedroom is darling. Love how you used that plaid throw to peek out at the top of the bed. And I just got that same throw and isn’t it so dang heavy? I couldn’t believe the quality of that thing!
Oh Liz, could it possibly be any more lovely?! I especially love all those textures on the bed… I can see why it’s hard to get out in the morning! Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful home with us. xx
So… I think I just pinned every single image in this tour because every single thing is GORGEOUS! Your home is like a dream, Liz!
I love all of the neutral fall decor! Beautiful home & pictures!
Liz, your home is a blissful retreat, beautifully and simply decorated…and always a pleasure to visit. Cheers, Ardith
Fall Farmhouse Perfection! Liz, you are so amazingly talented. No one does farmhouse style better than you. Your home looks lovely as always.
Your home is absolutely incredible, Liz. I can get lost in your posts for hours! xx Nina
I appreciate you listing the sources for your decor, especially paint colors. I often wonder where i can buy items to match a look i love on pinterest, but most do not give that info, even when asked in comments. Thanks so much. I love your decor!
Gorgeous bedroom! Thank you for providing tutorials on the planked walls and faux wood beam. Going to check it out now 🙂
