Have you ever made Italian cream sodas at home? If not, you are in for a BIG treat today! Imagine pouring a glass of the creamiest vanilla ice cream blended with a simply sweet fizzy soda and topping it off with a giant pile of whipped cream and maraschino cherries… welcome to Heaven, my friends.

I’ll admit, this is not something we make all the time in our house. I save it for special occasions like birthdays or when we have friends over in the summer. But it really is so simple to make, only needs a few ingredients, and will no doubt make you feel like a kid again. Kind of a nostalgic recipe, if you will.

First, we make a simple syrup. It’s nothing fancy, just equal parts sugar and water heated together and a little vanilla extract added at the end.

Once it cools, the vanilla simple syrup is mixed with sparkling water and a splash of half and half.

Pour it over ice and add a few cherries on top! Sweet, creamy, fizzy, and fresh… the perfect treat to quench your thirst. Promise me you’ll make yourself a glass this weekend!

I would make sparkling strawberry lemonade from scratch. Blend up some strawberries with simple syrup, juice a few lemons, as well as a smidge of lemon zest, and of course the sparkling water courtesy of the Kitchenaid Sparkling beverage maker and pour over ice. Prefect summer drink!

I am thinking of a coconut float soda with coconut milk, coconut water fizzed with the Kitchenaid Beverage Maker and a simple vanilla syrup infused with Rodelle Vanilla Extract and topped with flakes of roasted coconut shreds.
