Time for a new Dunkin’ Donuts Mug Up Photo Challenge! This month is all about finding your inner hipster…

True be told, this month I had to do a bit of research for the photo challenge. I consulted the wonderful world wide web to see exactly what “hipster” is all about. Because I’m totally cool and with the times, ya know!

After my crash course in all things hipster, I came up with some black skinnies, a chambray shirt, a big scarf, and messy, beach-wave hair. Oh, and sunglasses. You cannot forget the sunglasses! Do I look hipster? I have no idea. But I do know that black leggings are really just yoga pants that are socially acceptable to wear as part of an outfit, so I might just stick with this whole hipster look! 😉

If my little sister was reading this right now, she would probably be laughing her head off at me. Somehow I went from being the cool big sister with all the cool clothes to the older sister who has no idea how to dress herself. Now I look to her for all my fashion advice. When I did I lose my “cool” status? I just need to convince her to move in with me and become my personal fashion guru. She’d totally do that if I paid her in treats and goodies from my blog, right?

Speaking of treats, I have a special one for you today!

With spring and summer on the way, I’m starting to crave iced coffees instead of hot, and this Iced Banana Latte is one of my favorites this time of year. Banana may sound like a strange addition to coffee, but I promise you’ll love the sweet, mellow flavor mixed with the coffee and OF COURSE, chocolate!

It reminds me of this little soda shop I used to frequent back when I was in cosmetology school. I would order their “dirty monkey”, which was a fabulous banana-chocolate milkshake, and I’m telling you, I think this latte is even better than that milkshake I remember! This sweet iced coffee whips up in just seconds in the blender, and makes a great afternoon pick-me-up. I hope you enjoy this delicious iced latte made with Dunkin’ Donuts coffee!

There is a gas station chain on the east coast called Sheetz and they make a canned chocolate banana ice coffee that is soooooo good! This sounds just as amazing 🙂

At my summer job during college, my co-workers made lots of coffee runs. They brought back banana flavored lattes one time, and I remember thinking it was a weird (before I tasted it, of course). It was so good! Thanks for sharing. Now I can pretend I’m back in college again;)

There is definitely something about banana and coffee. I had a latte similar on vacation one year and had to come home and recreate it in a shake. I’ll definitely bring treats to our next meet up if you make these 🙂

This looks delicious. When I was in college I would order a blended iced mocha with banana at the local coffee shop. I had forgotten all about it until I saw this. 🙂 Yum!

I want to give each and every one of you a huge hug for the sweetest comments on my post yesterday where I revealed the new bookcases & lighting in my living room. It’s taken me almost 9 years of trial & error to figure out what looks best where in our home, and I’m still tinkering & playing with things daily. I hope if nothing else, you come here or my blog and feel inspired to try something new, enjoy the process, and feel like YOU CAN make your home your favorite place in the world to be. That even the smallest budget can make big changes in your home. And I hope you feel like you’re part of a community of women who encourage & support each other through the ups & down of life.

I guess I’m feeling a little sentimental today, but it truly inspires me hearing from you guys whether it’s a comment, a message, or a sweet share. Ya’ll are the best. Enjoy your Thursday, sweet friends.

I hope you had a wonderful, restful weekend! I wan I hope you had a wonderful, restful weekend! I wanted to kick the week off with one of my favorite winter decorating tips. Once all the holiday decor is gone, I always crave clean & simple spaces. But soon the house goes from feeling soothing to slightly boring, and I need something to breathe a little life back into our home. Do you ever feel the same?

The easy answer: PLANTS. Faux, real... whatever works for you. It’s the perfect detail to get us through the dreariness of winter and ready for spring. I’m always a fan of faux because they’re just easier, but I do really love this sweet little angel vine I’ve had for several years now!

What’s your favorite house plant? And also, how easy is it to keep alive? 🌿
