Vintage Spring Flower Printable

I think it’s time we bring a little bit of spring into the farmhouse, don’t you? Even though we didn’t have a terrible winter here in Indiana, I am more than ready for days filled with sunshine and trees full of leaves and my garden full of flowers. Our master bedroom is one of my favorite places in the whole house, so I decided to start there.

I hope today’s post inspires you to start adding touches of spring into your home too, so I’m including a spring flower printable for you to use that has a sweet vintage style and is free to download! Better yet, I have 32 MORE spring printables for you to choose from at the bottom of this post!

Blogging from my Better Half – Style Challenge

We’re back! As promised, Jeremy and I teamed up again this week for a fun challenge that I think you guys are going to find pretty entertaining. We’re doing a little design throw down… Husband vs. Wife! I enjoyed having him on the blog so much earlier this week that I thought I’d keep him around for another day. Did you guys read his Q & A yet? Let me tell you, he LOVED reading your comments!

I’m assuming most couples have probably gotten into an argument or two about how the house should be decorated, and Jeremy and I are no exception. So today I thought I’d be sweet and share HIS version of the perfect decor for a nightstand. But first I’ll show you mine. 🙂

Christmas Nights Tour

The presents are all wrapped, the cookies have been baked, and our home will soon be filled with family and friends all celebrating the holidays together. As busy as this month has been, I just love how peaceful and serene our little farmhouse becomes after the kids are in bed and all the Christmas lights are turned on at night. There is something truly magical about it, and even though I already shared Part 1 and Part 2 of our Christmas Home Tour for the year, I thought I would open our doors once again to show you what the house looks like at nighttime.

I am truly honored to join an amazing group of bloggers as they also share their homes in Maison de Pax’s Christmas Nights Tour, so please sit back, relax, and enjoy. Things will probably be quiet here on the blog for a few days as I enjoy the holidays with my family, but I will be back soon with plenty of exciting things coming up in 2016. I wish you a very Merry Christmas from the bottom of my heart… thank you for being part of my Love Grows Wild family!

Christmas Home Tour Part 1

My favorite time of the year has finally arrived! I love sharing our little farmhouse all dressed up for the holidays, and this year was especially fun with all the remodeling we’ve done to the house. When I decorate for Christmas, I like to keep things simple, natural and super cozy. Warm, fuzzy blankets on the couch… wreaths in windows and on doors… and TONS of greenery throughout the house…

We had so much fun decorating the farmhouse over the last few weeks, and I hope you enjoy seeing a peek inside and find some ideas to inspire you! I have so many photos I want to share that I’ve broken our Christmas Home Tour into two parts. You’ll get to see our front porch, master bedroom, and newly renovated bathroom today, and Part 2 of the tour will come in just a few more days!

I’ve included links to some of the products and projects in our home tour, so you can shop for these items too! Note: Some of the links in this post are affiliate links, which allows me to make a small commission from your purchase, but your purchase price stays the same. Thank you for helping support our blog!

Welcome to the farmhouse at Christmas!

Master Bedroom Furniture

Things have been pretty hectic around our house lately with both a bathroom renovation and master bedroom makeover going on at the SAME time. We’ve also re-painted the walls in our stairway, had new windows installed in the lower level, and had some plaster work done on the ceiling in our dining room, because hey… if we’re going to have a construction mess in our house, we might as well make it a GIANT one, right?!

It is so exciting to see all these changes happening to our little farmhouse, but I have to admit that all the labor and sawdust and contractors and mess starts to wear on me after awhile. I always tell Jeremy that someday we’ll have a finished house that is always clean and organized, but let’s be honest… I’ll always be up to something making a mess! We’ve made good progress on our master bedroom over the last few months, adding planked walls, a faux wood beam with curtains, and farmhouse-style window trim, and today I thought I’d take a minute to share with you some of the furniture pieces we’ve added to the space. I’ve shared little sneak peeks on Instagram and always get questions about where our nightstands are from, so here are all the yummy details about our bedroom!

Farmhouse Window Trim

Learn how to bulk up the trim around your windows for a beautiful farmhouse look! Such an easy and inexpensive upgrade! |

Wow, you guys… what a huge difference $10 in lumber and an afternoon of painting can make!! We only have one tiny, little window in our bedroom, so I knew from the start of this makeover that I wanted to make it as big and beautiful as I could. After we planked our bedroom walls this summer, we quickly slapped the window trim back on the wall knowing that it would come down again soon anyway. Here’s what it looked like post-planking: [Read more…]

Wood Beam and Lace Curtains

This post is so exciting for me to write! I had this vision for our master bedroom, and it’s coming to life even better than I imagined. After we got the plank walls put up, we moved our bed over to this little nook on the left side of the window, and it’s such a cozy space now. It has just enough room for our new bed and a pair of nightstands and feels amazing to crawl into our bed every night now. I’ve always had this idea in my head of adding curtains somehow to make this space even more cozy and intimate, and last week we finally made it happen!

You guys… I am DYING over the new “wood beam” and lace curtains!

This cozy sleeping nook was created by adding a faux wood beam and lace curtains over the bed, and the results are amazing! See how to do this project in your home at

So after we finished the gorgeous plank walls and brought in some new furniture, here’s what the room looked like: [Read more…]
