I know I told you I wasn’t big into decorating for Valentine’s Day, but after making the Key To My Heart Sign I shared last week, I’m on a roll! These DIY Feathered Arrows were so simple to make with items I already had at home and add just a touch of Valentine’s romance with a little nod to Cupid’s arrows. And I have a BIG announcement to share today!!
So you guys know me by now, right? 99% of my house is made up of clean, classic, neutral colors, with maybe 1% of color thrown in. It’s not very often you’ll see me whipping out a can of bright red paint or sewing a hot pink pillow, so I’m not all that cracked up on traditional Valentine’s decor. That’s why I love these arrows so much! I turned simple wooden skewers into lovely feathered arrows using a little bit of dark walnut stain, some twine, a feather, and paper scraps. They cost me nothing to make, and I was able to coordinate with the colors already in my home. Feel free to jazz them up with all the glitter, lace, pink, and red your heart desires, or stick with a simple look like I did!
So are you ready for my BIG announcement?
You won’t find this tutorial on Love Grows Wild today (sorry guys!), you’ll have to head over to the famous Jamielyn’s blog, I Heart Nap Time, where I’m a new member of her 2014 Creative Team!! Will someone do a little happy dance with me? Jamielyn is a blogger I’ve looked up to since the beginning, and I’m so honored to be able to collaborate with her and the amazing women on her team. So I would be THRILLED if you hopped on over to check out today’s Feathered Arrow tutorial, and leave some comment love! You guys are the best!

Thank you, Jacy! I thought these were perfect for a touch of Valentine’s Day without being too obvious. And I love that I can keep them out after the holiday is over. So glad you stopped by!
