Hey ya’ll!
How was your weekend? Mine was pretty good! We took the boys the see Shrek the Musical at Purdue University (so cute!) and spent the rest of the weekend organizing, purging, DIYing, and cleaning. You may have seen on Facebook or Instagram my very exciting Saturday night sorting Legos by color… I live such an exciting life : )
The Lego sorting was in preparation for the overhaul about to happen in our boys’ playroom. It was beginning to look pretty scary after the addition of all the new toys from Christmas! But you’ll see more of that project later!
Speaking of organizing…
Last week I had a question from a lovely reader about ideas for jewelry storage and organization. She saw the Corkboard Necklace Organizer I posted awhile back, and wanted more ideas on how to get her jewelry organized. I’m in the process of getting myself more organized as well, so I decided to put together some of the best storage solutions from around the web to help get the organizing mojo flowing!
Bracelet Bottle from I Spy DIY
Gold-Tipped Antler Jewelry Holder from Miss Renaissance
Simple Frame Earring Holder from Real Simple
Teacup Jewelry Storage Drawer from Martha Stewart
Drift Wood Necklace Holder from Visibly Moved
Cutlery Tray Organizer from Mini Manor Blog
Wooden Tray Jewelry Storage from A Time For Everything
DIY Book Jewelry Box from Sincerely, Kinsey
Drawer Pull Jewelry Holder from Liz Marie Blog
Simple Metal Earring Display from I Heart Organizing
Metal Tin Jewelry Storage from Paisley Wallpaper
Sculptural Branch Jewelry Display from Pretty Handy Girl
Framed Metal Earring Holder from Occasionally Crafty
DIY Cloche Jewelry Holder from Beauty Splurge
Did you enjoy all that gorgeous eye candy?
Would you like to see more Organization Inspiration?
I’m thinking about doing a weekly organization round-up, so let me know what you think! What would you like to see organization ideas for? Your request may just be next week’s post!

There are some really great ideas there. I love the use of the Proscecco bottle for storage. We definitely have plenty of those around our house 🙂

Cute ideas! Be careful about hanging pearl, beaded, or other stranded necklaces as they can stretch out or break.

NEW BLOG POST >> and this project might be my favo NEW BLOG POST >> and this project might be my favorite I’ve done in awhile! I wanted to add more of a wow factor to this big blank wall in the living room behind the sofa, and two inexpensive IKEA bookcases later + a little bit of diy customizing + two of the prettiest wall sconces that plug in (no hardwiring required 🙌🏻)... I can’t stop looking at how amazing this turned out!!

I have all the details in today’s blog post including:
- how I customized the bookshelves
- where I found my plug-in lights
- the biggest tip I’ve learned for styling shelves like these
- plus sources for everything you see here (including the new coffee table I’m obsessed with)

I can’t wait to hear your thoughts on this project!! Do you love bookcase lighting as much as I do?

I hope you had a wonderful, restful weekend! I wan I hope you had a wonderful, restful weekend! I wanted to kick the week off with one of my favorite winter decorating tips. Once all the holiday decor is gone, I always crave clean & simple spaces. But soon the house goes from feeling soothing to slightly boring, and I need something to breathe a little life back into our home. Do you ever feel the same?

The easy answer: PLANTS. Faux, real... whatever works for you. It’s the perfect detail to get us through the dreariness of winter and ready for spring. I’m always a fan of faux because they’re just easier, but I do really love this sweet little angel vine I’ve had for several years now!

What’s your favorite house plant? And also, how easy is it to keep alive? 🌿

Hello, my favorite beach hat. I’ll wear you in t Hello, my favorite beach hat. I’ll wear you in the warm sunshine again one day! My suitcases are looking awfully lonely lately, and I’m getting the itch to take the boys somewhere... ANYwhere. I’d take a road trip and some sunshine and a change of scenery in a heartbeat. Anyone else feeling ready for spring and getting that travel bug?

Share some ideas for safe travel destinations that we can follow all the distancing rules, but feel just a little bit of normalcy again. ⬇️ Where would you love to go this year? (even if all we can do right now is dream about it 😉)
