It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas at the farmhouse. Won’t you join me on a tour of our living room?
This year I really embraced simplicity in our living room, and our Christmas tree is the perfect example of just how beautiful simple can be. I strung lights on the tree as I always do, and then instead of layering on garland and ornaments and bows, I used stems of big faux poinsettias that look like they have been covered in snow and large, snow-dusted pinecones. When I decorated the little tree in our bedroom, I filled every branch to the brim, and the result was nothing short of magical. But for our big tree, I let the beauty of the tree itself shine through and gave it a simple winter wonderland look in just a matter of a few minutes. And just wait till you see it all lit up at night. That will be coming soon!

Everything looks so beautiful, I love the neutral tones and simple decor. Perfect, Liz!
Your Christmas home tour is stunning! And your photography — gorgeous! Thank you for all of your work to help, inspire and bring joy to so many others.
Do you have a source for the wooden horse? I’ve been loo moo ing for something like it or similar for quite some time. Love the simplicity of your decor!
Beautiful! Where did you get your wooden horse?
Will you tell us where you purchased the articulated horse?
YES PLEASE! xoxo
I have the exact same wooden horse, but I Annie Sloan painted it white! Your home is gorgeous!
Anita, where is the horse from? it is so darling!!
I just subscribed to your newsletter as I am in love with your decorating style! Your ideas are so inspiring since I am gradually decorating my own home with farmhouse touches. I ordered the quilt you have from Target through your link. I love that you list where you gather your decor. I am having difficulty finding the bedskirt though. Is it eyelet? Did you have to order a size up to get it to lay like that? Thank you for allowing me to look at your beautiful home.
