Holiday Gift Guide

I love doing this post every year because 1) it gives me an excuse to do a bunch of online shopping/browsing, and 2) it’s so fun to come up with a curated collection of my favorite items that will hopefully make your Christmas shopping a little easier! These are all items I either have and love or would be super excited to open on Christmas morning, and I think there is something for everyone here! And if you need a few ideas for yourself… feel free to send this to your partner or family as a big hint! 🙂 I’ve had requests to do gift guides for more than just women, so this year I included some ideas for kids as well that are absolutely darling and something other than the typical toys they usually receive!

Just in time for all the holiday deals so you can save big on my favorite gift ideas this season… let’s dive into my 2019 Gift Guide!

Holiday Gift Guide

Holiday Gifts for Her

1 // Stars Above Pajama Set – Super cozy pajamas are a great gift idea for anyone, and this set is under $30!

2 // C.C. Cable Knit Fur Pom Beanie – This winter essential comes in over 50 different colors and is under $20!

3 // Boxed Shaker Pendant Necklace – I love the unique vintage look of this pendant necklace from Universal Thread that is just $20. It looks like an heirloom!

4 // Sperry Off-White Duck Boot – I wear my Sperry duck boots nonstop during the winter, and this off-white version is absolutely darling. Perfect for cold, snowy days!

5 // Moon Essential Oil Diffuser – I love that this diffuser looks more like a piece of art than an oil diffuser, and the ceramic moon even lights up!

6 // Aerie Coziest Fuzzy Fur Slides – The coziest slippers to keep your feet warm, but not too hot! And they come in 6 colors!

7 // Hearth & Hand Letter Board – Letter boards are so much fun for decorating, parties, + more, and this wooden one is different than any others I’ve seen! Comes in 2 sizes.

8 // Large Circle Leather Key Ring – I’m ordering one of these for myself and for a few gifts this year! I’ve heard it makes finding keys in your purse 10 times easier. This key ring would make a great stocking stuffer at less than $10, and it comes in 31 colors!

9 // Boatneck Dolman Sweater – A super soft, cozy sweater from Abercrombie & Fitch that comes in 6 different colors. Love the open neck detail!

10 // Chunky Cable Knit Throw Blanket – Cozy blankets always make a great gift idea, and this color would match anyone’s home beautifully!

11 // Faux Fur Collar Coat – This coat is stunning! I love having one coat that is a little dressier than my others, and this would be such a special treat for someone that probably wouldn’t spend the money on themselves!

12 // Cast Iron Covered Dutch Oven – This kitchen workhorse is perfect for winter stews and roasts, but can set you back a pretty penny for a top name brand version. I found this one on Amazon, and it has great reviews, comes in classic white, and is SO affordable!

13 // Gold Initial Letter Pendant – Personalized jewelry is such a sweet gift idea, and I love the unique look of this square pendant. You can choose the length and type of chain, and it’s less than $20 right now!

Holiday Gift Guide

1 // Aerie Dreamy Soft Pajama Pant – These look SO soft and cozy, and I love the tie in front! Comes in two colors, and 50% off right now!

2 // Instax Instant Camera – This mini camera is so fun for capturing little moments during the holidays, and adults love it just as much as kids! Under $50 right now, and comes in 7 color options!

3 // Victoria Emerson Wrap Bracelet – These are my favorite bracelets to wear! I had such a hard time narrowing down my favorites for this gift guide because they are all absolutely stunning and also sell out quickly during sales. The one shown above is the Freshwater Pearls with Crystal and Silver on White, but there are lots of color options! Check out their boho cuffs as well! Note: currently Buy One Get One FREE for Black Friday!

4 // Alphabet Frosted Pine Scented Candle – Candles are an easy gift idea for anyone on your list, and I love the look of this personalized double wick candle from Pottery Barn!

5 // Teddy Bear Faux Fur Robe – Just the name alone makes me want to snuggle up in one of these! This cozy robe comes in 6 different colors and is currently 50% off!

6 // Bed Head Wave Artist Deep Waver – This is how I get easy beach waves in my hair! I bought this tool earlier this year and LOVE the wave and volume it gives my hair. Over 6,000 good reviews on Amazon, and it’s under $30!

7 // Bluetooth Wireless Earbuds – When my 10 year old asked for AirPods, there was no way I was going to spend that kind of money on something he could easily lose. I found these much less expensive earbuds on Amazon, and they are awesome! Over 17,000 good reviews, and there’s a $10 off coupon right now you can use to save even more! They also come in 5 colors in case you need a different color for each family member!

8 // Tarte Tartlette 2 In Bloom Eyeshadow Palette – Tarte’s eyeshadow palettes are pretty much the only ones I use, and this version has the perfect mix of matte and shimmery warm neutral tones. It should be on every girl’s Christmas list!

9 // Marble iPhone Case – I love this pretty marble phone case, and you can get it for iPhone 6/7/8/Plus or iPhone X/Xs/Xs Max/XR for just $20!

10 // Faux Fur Eye Mask – Another cozy stocking stuffer idea! Comes in white and pink.

11 // Adidas Cloudfoam Pure Sneaker – I’m a sucker for cute sneakers, and this gorgeous off-white pair immediately caught my eye! Definitely adding these to my Christmas list!

12 // Dainty Pearl Choker Necklace – I’m a minimal jewelry girl and love the look of simple, dainty necklaces. You can get this pretty pearl choker in gold or silver with an option to buy just one necklace or a set of two for a layered look!

I hope you had a wonderful, restful weekend! I wan I hope you had a wonderful, restful weekend! I wanted to kick the week off with one of my favorite winter decorating tips. Once all the holiday decor is gone, I always crave clean & simple spaces. But soon the house goes from feeling soothing to slightly boring, and I need something to breathe a little life back into our home. Do you ever feel the same?

The easy answer: PLANTS. Faux, real... whatever works for you. It’s the perfect detail to get us through the dreariness of winter and ready for spring. I’m always a fan of faux because they’re just easier, but I do really love this sweet little angel vine I’ve had for several years now!

What’s your favorite house plant? And also, how easy is it to keep alive? 🌿

Hello, my favorite beach hat. I’ll wear you in t Hello, my favorite beach hat. I’ll wear you in the warm sunshine again one day! My suitcases are looking awfully lonely lately, and I’m getting the itch to take the boys somewhere... ANYwhere. I’d take a road trip and some sunshine and a change of scenery in a heartbeat. Anyone else feeling ready for spring and getting that travel bug?

Share some ideas for safe travel destinations that we can follow all the distancing rules, but feel just a little bit of normalcy again. ⬇️ Where would you love to go this year? (even if all we can do right now is dream about it 😉)

HOW TO PAINT WICKER FURNITURE:

The perfect example of design on a budget. I feel The perfect example of design on a budget. I feel like kids go through so many phases of what they do and don’t like as they get older, and we’re often changing the boys’ bedrooms to make them function better as they grow out of each phase (way too quickly, I might add 🥺).

I’m a big believer in teaching kids to be mindful of taking care of their belongings and their home from the time they are little, which is why I don’t worry so much about light colored couches in the living room or white walls throughout the house. BUT kids are also kids, and I design their bedrooms with a much more frugal budget so that if anything gets old & worn or needs to be replaced/repurposed... I don’t sweat the money that was spent!

In this room we used inexpensive pieces from IKEA, Target and Walmart to create a cozy teenage boy’s room, but it definitely doesn’t skimp on style. We’re planning a little makeover again in this room soon, and I’m excited to show you what we have up our sleeves for my now 15 year old... good grief, where does the time go?
