Home and lifestyle blogger Liz Fourez shares how to put together a cozy layered winter outfit with her top wardrobe finds of the season.

For me, January is not the easiest or most fun month to decorate my home, especially after taking down all the beautiful holiday decor. But winter IS one of my favorite seasons when it comes to clothing, and I can’t get enough of all the warm, cozy textures and layers in my wardrobe right now!

I often get asked about my outfits or ways to style clothes when I’m doing Instagram stories, so I thought it would be fun to continue the clothing conversation here on the blog and share my Favorite Cozy Winter Wardrobe Finds right now!

What I love most about winter clothing is all the layering you can do when getting dressed. For example, right now I’m wearing a striped shirt under a cardigan with distressed jeans, boots with cozy socks peeking over the top, and a beanie on my head because it’s freezing cold today. The cold weather gives you a ton of opportunity to add cozy textures and play around with patterns, even for someone like me who generally doesn’t wear many patterns… stripes is about as wild as I get!

To keep my outfits coordinated and polished when layering, I try to use mainly neutral colors with one accent color if I’m craving some color. Neutrals can be white, black, beige/tan, gray… even navy can be considered a neutral. For colors, I tend to stick with muted green, blue and pink. Winter accessories like scarves, hats and socks are fun extra layers too!
