Maple Glazed Pumpkin Hand Pies

It’s really starting to feel like fall around here lately, and I am so enjoying the cooler weather and fall decor that is slowly creeping into the farmhouse. I’m craving pumpkin everything right now (tis the season), so I thought it would be the perfect time to share my recipe for these amazing Maple Glazed Pumpkin Hand Pies! These adorable little mini pies have a cinnamon infused pumpkin filling wrapped inside deliciously flaky pie crust and are topped with a sweet maple glaze. Trust me when I saw you will not be able to eat just one! They are the perfect little fall snack or treat and rumor has it they are delicious with your morning coffee too… but you didn’t hear that from me. ūüėČ

Our Fall Kitchen

September is such a beautiful time of year here in Indiana. The sun still shines warm and bright during the day, but the evenings start to get cooler each night and beg for us to open up the windows and let in the crisp autumn air. It instantly puts me in the mood to start cozying up the farmhouse for fall, and this week that’s exactly what I did. With a fresh breeze blowing in through the windows and the scent of a spiced pumpkin candle drifting all throughout the house, I got to work on bringing this new season into our home. Yes friends, it’s that time of year. I hope you’re getting as excited as I am!

Apple Upside Down Spice Cake

It’s hard to believe that summer is already slipping away, and I’m starting to look forward to cooler weather and decorating the farmhouse for fall. It seems like as soon as we get that first chilly morning, I’m craving pumpkin and apple desserts and wanting to bust out my chunky sweaters and boots. I’m sure I say this about every season, but fall is one that I really look forward to!

I haven’t quite convinced myself that it’s okay to start pulling out my pumpkins and plaid pillows to decorate the house with yet, but I DID find myself in the kitchen the other day whipping up one of my favorite easy fall treats, Apple Upside Down Spice Cake. It is such a simple recipe and has all the best flavors of fall, so I thought I’d share it with you today to kick off your holiday baking season!

Farmhouse Christmas Kitchen + Gingerbread Bundt Cake

The other day I was working on decorating our kitchen a little bit for the holidays, and I realized that this time last year we were still living with our old kitchen and just about to completely tear everything down almost to the studs. It feels like forever since we were living through that month long renovation with construction dust everywhere and eating microwave dinners more times than I want to count, but it is such an amazing feeling to have this beautiful space now, especially around the holidays.

I’ve been doing a ton¬†of baking in here lately, and I have an amazing Gingerbread Bundt Cake recipe that I want to share with you today. It is so simple to whip up¬†and makes a beautiful centerpiece for your holiday table with very little effort! But first, let’s take a little tour around the kitchen…
