You know what the best part of this season is? Comfort food, baby! I wait all year long to indulge in big bowls of creamy, warm soup and hearty, slow-cooked meals, and now that the cooler weather has arrived, I’m ready to dive head first into my favorite comfort foods! At the top of my list was this recipe for easy, delicious Chicken and Dumplings! If you love the flavor of chicken pot pies, you’ll go nuts over these chicken and dumplings! It has the same basic components like chicken, carrots, and celery, but instead of topping it with a flaky pie crust, you get big ol’ fluffy and moist dumplings all throughout the dish!
My boys always devour this recipe, and I usually prep the ingredients ahead to make life easier come dinner time. I get the veggies all chopped and pick up a rotisserie chicken from the store to cut up, which is a big time saver! You know what else is awesome about this dish? It’s a ONE pot meal! Less dishes to wash makes me a very happy girl! Next time you get a craving for some good, old-fashioned comfort food, you must give this recipe a try!
