Easter is just around the corner, and I love coming up with special table decorations for our holiday celebrations! Easter is such a fun holiday to decorate for because it is right in the beginning of Spring, when everything is fresh, new, and coming to life!
I try to come up with ways to decorate tables that are unique and budget-friendly. I created these Stamped Egg Place Cards that would be perfect on the table at your Easter celebration! They are full of Spring cuteness cost just over a dollar to make!

Eggs and Easter go hand-in-hand, so I thought it would be fun to use them as the place cards for our Easter tablescape this year! But first I needed a base to set the eggs on. I considered purchasing little boxes from the dollar store, but I found this tutorial on how to fold a paper box and thought it would be cheaper. Plus, it would be super fun to do a little paper origami!

I started with a 12 x 12 piece of scrapbook paper in a Springy yellow checker pattern. I wanted my box to be a little smaller, so I trimmed my paper down to 9″ x 9″. Then I followed this easy tutorial to fold my paper box, using my handy Martha Stewart bone folder to make nice, neat creases. Even if you’re not a very crafty person, it really was easy to make! I ended up with these adorable little paper boxes. You could use them for so many things!

I also wanted a little nest to set inside my box to hold the egg, and I found this faux grass mat at Hobby Lobby that I thought would be perfect for my Easter table! It’s a really pretty green color and will add lots of texture to my tablescape! I picked it up on sale for just $3.00. Score!

The grass was attached to the mat in little sections, so it was easy to cut a small square of grass for my box. I just used scissors to break apart the plastic grid on bottom.

I trimmed a 3 x 3 section of grass that fit perfectly inside my box. How adorable is that already?

I could have used bright colored plastic Easter eggs, but I love the simplicity of a plain white egg sitting in the grass. (Hard-boiled first of course!) I used my small letter stamps and black StazOn ink to stamp my guests’ names on the eggs, and placed them in the grass-filled boxes.

How stinkin’ cute are they? They are so fun and perfect for Spring and Easter!

Guests will feel so special with creative place cards like these! And the best part is they only cost me $1.09 each to make!

These are really cute! They are simple and springy:) I think each of my children would think it was really neat to have their name stamped on an egg at their place setting. Great idea:)
