I love Springtime when everything is starting to grow and there are beautiful color flowers sprouting up all around. It’s such a welcome change after the long, dreary winters we have here in Indiana! Once March gets here, I get the itch to start digging out in my garden and soak up all the sunshine I can get. In the spirit of this wonderful new season, I created a Spring-Inspired Easter Tablescape that will make guests feel like they’re right in your garden!
For the centerpieces on the table, I was inspired by an old entertaining book my Grandmother had years and years ago. I remember seeing flowers submerged in a vase along with carrots and wanted to recreate that for my Easter table!
I started with a handful of flowers leftover from a bouquet I used for my Stacked Egg Flower Arrangement. I trimmed the stems to fit just over the top of the vase and set them aside.
I grabbed a big package of carrots for just a few dollars and trimmed the carrots to the same length, just below the top of the vase. I tried to use carrots in the same shape and size to keep a consistent look. I placed a small cup in the center of the vase and stood the carrots up around the cup. Once I had them all arranged, I carefully removed the cup and inserted my flowers into the center of the carrots. If your carrots are too large to allow the flowers to fit in the center, cut the carrots in half so the side facing out is still rounded, but the side facing in is flat. That will give you more room to fit your flowers inside!
I love the yellow, white, and green flowers against the bright orange of the carrots! So fun for Easter!
Moving on to the place settings, I used the Stamped Egg Place Cards I created to show where each guest is sitting.
I made a paper box by folding sheets of scrapbook paper and placing a small square of faux grass inside to lay the egg on.
I used small letter stamps and Staz-on ink to add my guests’ names to the eggs. I think it’s such a fun little touch to make your guests feel EGGS-tra special! (Sorry, I couldn’t resist. I’ve had eggs on the brain for too long!)
I placed simple white plates on top of a 12 x 12 inch sheet of scrapbook paper that coordinates with the paper on my Stamped Egg boxes. Scrapbook paper is a great cheap alternative to buying new place mats to match your tablescape!
I had an extra strip of faux grass from the place cards, so I placed a white tray with the faux grass in the center of the table to space out the two carrot and flower centerpieces.
I had plenty of hard-boiled eggs to use, so I laid a couple nestled in the faux grass.
And that’s how I created my Spring-Inspired Easter Tablescape! I absolutely love the way this table turned out… it is colorful, playful and totally ready for Spring!
And I bet the Easter Bunny would love to dine at a table like this : )
Looking through all these Springtime photos just makes me happy! The flowers, the colors, the sunlight… What a wonderful time of year this is! I hope you’re inspired by Spring now as well!

Oh, I love the way you used carrots in the floral arrangement! I may have to copy this for our easter dinner setting. The stamped eggs are also really great; I love that they’re a more “grown-up” egg decor. Well done!
