This post is sponsored by our friends at Birch Lane // Hi, loves. Yes, you read that title right. Even though it is only the day after Halloween, and I still have pumpkins sitting on my front porch, we are going to start November with some decorating for the holidays! Now before you think I’m totally crazy for busting out a Christmas tree this early, hear me out. I have a TON of ideas for what I want to do with our little farmhouse for the holidays, and I want to have them all up on the blog before it’s time for you to start YOUR holiday decorating. That means I have to start a little early this year!
This fall, I had the great privilege of joining some fellow bloggers in a series we like to call our “Farmhouse Holiday Series”, and starting today we are continuing on and shifting our focus from fall to winter. Our goal is to share easy ideas for simplifying the hustle and bustle of the holidays and creating a cozy, inviting home that is the perfect backdrop to create beautiful holiday memories with your loved ones. I truly hope that you enjoy this decorating series as much as I do and get some great ideas for your home!

Welcome back to more fall decorating at the farmhouse, sweet friends! Today I am sharing one of my favorite spaces in the whole house, our cozy master bedroom, and I also have an exciting home tour to share with you! If you’re new here or just catching up, I’ve already shared a few different rooms over the last few weeks all decorated for fall, but when my dear friend, Rachel from Maison de Pax, asked me to join in her Fall Into Home Tour this year, I couldn’t pass up the opportunity. So today I’m sharing the first look at our fall bedroom, recapping the other spaces I’ve already decorated, and giving you 13 other home tours you can check out next!
Our master bedroom is located on the second level and took quite a bit of imagination to turn this dark, awkward attic space into a bright, beautiful, relaxing retreat. We added wide, rustic planks to all the walls and painted them white, which really helped to lighten up the space. Then we created a cozy nook for our farmhouse style iron bed by adding a faux wood beam to the ceiling and hanging white lace curtains up inside of the beam to frame the bed area. It is such a peaceful, inviting space to fall asleep in every night and makes it very hard to leave every morning!
The days are getting longer, the temperatures are rising, and it’s starting to look a lot like summer at our little farmhouse! Today I’m going to give you a look at our (early) summer decor and share some of the rooms we’ve been working on lately. Welcome to the Celebrate Summer Home Tour! Come on inside!
Here’s my motto for summer decorating: relaxed, casual, cozy, fresh. [Read more…]
I think it’s time we bring a little bit of spring into the farmhouse, don’t you? Even though we didn’t have a terrible winter here in Indiana, I am more than ready for days filled with sunshine and trees full of leaves and my garden full of flowers. Our master bedroom is one of my favorite places in the whole house, so I decided to start there.
I hope today’s post inspires you to start adding touches of spring into your home too, so I’m including a spring flower printable for you to use that has a sweet vintage style and is free to download! Better yet, I have 32 MORE spring printables for you to choose from at the bottom of this post!
