Spring Home Tour

Despite the fact that it snowed a couple inches here this week, I’m going to PRETEND like it’s spring. I’m going to pretend it is warm enough to open the windows and put away the winter blankets and plant some flowers. Even though there’s really still snow on the ground, and I’m sitting here in fuzzy socks and a robe, let’s pretend it’s spring and take a little tour of the house all freshened up for this beautiful season.

For those of you who are stopping by from the home tour, I want to say, WELCOME! I’m thrilled to have you here at the farmhouse. We’re in the process of renovating and updating our cute, old home, and I can’t wait to show you the progress we’ve made so far. Let’s start in my office!

This is the room where all the magic happens… blog magic, that is. 😉 With the feminine color palette I chose for the office makeover, it already felt like it was “ready for spring”. A few flowers and pastel accents was all it needed…

Fabric Covered Spring Vases

Do you feel it? Do you feel spring in the air? Such a welcome relief from this brutally cold winter!

I’ve had the windows open, the sunshine on my face, and I’m one happy camper. I can finally send the boys outside to play again. (Hallelujah!) I can finally work outside and spray paint all the projects I’ve been hoarding all winter long. (DOUBLE Hallelujah!) And I’m super excited to see beautiful flowers starting to bloom all over my  yard. Ahhh, spring. How I love thee.

Naturally, I’ve been inspired to create some things for around the house, and these cute little Fabric Covered Vases are perfect for the spring flowers that we’ll soon see. And I made them entirely from things I already had on hand!

Framed Ombre Butterfly Art & Silhouette Promotion

I realized something today that I think is kind of funny. I’m curious if you’re the same way. Whenever I decide on a room to focus on decorating, I come up with a million projects and ideas and cannot wait to get started. Then about two projects in, I’m already dreaming about the next space I want to re-do and get totally distracted from finishing the first room! What can I say… I’m a dreamer. 🙂

So as I’m busting out projects for my living room makeover, I’m already thinking about what’s next… I think my studio/office is due for a major overhaul! The majority of my house is designed for the boys that live here… no white walls, indestructible furniture, and definitely not a lot of glass around. So I want my studio office to be a place where I can enjoy my girly things… pink, ruffles, glam, and sparkles! Okay, there will probably be rustic wood tones and maybe even a deer head included in there too, just to balance out the estrogen-fest, but I want this space to be my little escape from boy-land! Are you as excited as I am about these plans?? Oh, wait… I’m supposed to be working on my living room. Oh, well.

With spring now here and a girly, pink office on the brain, I have a fun project to share with you today that would be perfect for spring decorating, a little girl’s room, or maybe a blogger’s girly office retreat. The choice is yours!

Spring-Inspired Mantel

I usually don’t go overboard decorating for spring with pastel colors and Easter eggs, but I definitely like to add little touches around the house inspired by this beautiful season. Now that my faux fireplace is finished with its two-tone makeover, I thought my mantel would be the perfect place to display some spring-inspired decor:

Moss Covered Easter Eggs

Hello again friends! It’s Ashley from Cherished Bliss, and I am so excited to welcome Spring in a few days! Even if the ground is still covered with snow here in Wisconsin, I figured it would be fun to get some Spring Time projects up in my house! I’m not huge on holiday crafting (other than Christmas) mainly because I just don’t have the time. I mean let’s be real here… I still have my Christmas Decor on my piano (shhh, don’t tell). I took it down, but I just haven’t had a chance to put it away and add in some universal decor to get me through spring and summer. I really like to be able to change up a few accessories during this time rather than my whole decor, so these Moss Covered Easter Eggs are just perfect for me and my piano decor.
